forgivness

life can be pretty rough, right? in my personal opinion, we all struggle with life in general on a dailey basis. people can be one of the many ways that Satan will try to destroy your realationship with God. they can make fun of you, call you names, create rumors, and the list goes on. but they can only effect you if you let them. that is obviously eaiser said than done for some people including myself. sometimes it's hard to turn the other cheek and move on, and sometimes the hardest thing to do is very simple: forgive. when someone intially makes you upset, you first instinct is retaliation. it's not a bad thing, that just means you are human. one thing we all need to strive for is reaacting like Jesus did. when people would ridicule him he counteracted with kindness, he took a step back and looked at what they were going through and why they treated him as they did. after that fact he told them that it was ok; he let it roll off of his back. in Matthew 5:41 it says, "whoever compels you to go one mile, go with him two." in another words, kill them with kindness. life will always be difficult, but you will continue to grow in your realtionship with God and become stronger. the band Tenth Avenue North has a song entitled "Loosing". this song hits my point strait on. the lyrics say "father won't you forgive them,cause they don't know what they've been doing." Jesus paid the price of sin when he died on the cross, it is not our place to judge others based on the sins they commit towards us..it is our place to forgive them as Christ does to us. if you have any prayer requests, feel free to shoot me an email or direct message me on my instagram!
